If the money makes sense, Tate would be perfect for the Lions. He can line up inside and outside and gives the Lions the kind of sure hands they sorely lacked last season. Tate has routinely been among the league’s best receivers for drop rate in his four years in the NFL.
Tate’s reception and receiving yards totals have increased every season, posting highs last year with 65 catches for 898 yards in Seattle’s run-first offense.
Even with Tate in the fold, the Lions would be wise to add another wide receiver through the draft, although they would face less pressure to address the position with an early pick.
