The list of opponents that will appear on the Detroit Lions 2014 schedule is set with the conclusion of the 2013 regular season.

The Lions will have their usual home and away division games and 2014 will see the NFC North matched up for games with the NFC South and AFC East. All that was left up to the final standings was a home game against an NFC East team and a road game against an NFC West opponent. The Lions third-place finish means they get the third-place team from those two divisions.

2014 Regular Season
Home Away
New Orleans Saints Atlanta Falcons
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Carolina Panthers
Buffalo Bills New England Patriots
Miami Dolphins New York Jets
New York Giants Arizona Cardinals
Green Bay Packers (Div.) Green Bay Packers (Div.)
Minnesota Vikings (Div.) Minnesota Vikings (Div.)
Chicago Bears (Div.) Chicago Bears (Div.)

While the list of opponents is complete, we’ll likely have to wait until a week or two before the draft to know the full schedule of when each game will take place. The Lions game against the Falcons is technically an away game for scheduling purposes but it will be played in London as part of the NFL’s International Series. The league previously announced that the game will be played in week 8 and teams previously playing in London have had their bye week following their game across the pond. With 2014 being the Lions turn to host an AFC on Thanksgiving Day, the Bills and Dolphins are the options unless there is a break from the normal rotation.
