Inactives for Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football

The inactive list for the Detroit Lions-Baltimore Ravens game on Monday Night Football has been released, and it looks like the Lions are going to be a little thin in the secondary.

Most of these aren’t surprises. Leshoure and Fox have been inactive for most of the season, and Moore, Austin and Harris are inactive regulars as well. But it’s going to be a problem missing Houston and Slay, either of whom would have started if healthy.

What this means for the Lions is that Jonte Green will get the start across from Rashean Mathis, and also that Chris Greenwood is being activated for the first time in his NFL career. That’s exciting, but remember that he was on the Cowboys’ roster earlier this season, and was cut as soon as possible. It may be a bumpy ride.

The  bigger story here is who’s active: Reggie Bush, after being a late-game scratch in the blizzard last week, is ready to go tonight.

To counter that, the Ravens have activated DE Elvis Dumervil, and their inactive list reads like a who’s-who of “who is that guy?”

With the exception of the Lions’ cornerbacks, it seems that both teams are going to be at relatively full strength in what is a must-win for two teams barely clinging to their playoff lives. One team will survive, and the other will have to step up their scoreboard-watching.
