The Detroit Lions seemed to expect Nate Burleson to make his return this week after listing him as probable on the final injury report. That is now official with Burleson being active for the first time since breaking his arm in a car accident.

But Burleson isn’t the only important Lion to make his return today. Defensive end Ziggy Ansah and cornerback Bill Bentley return to strengthen the defense.

The news is also good with Joique Bell and Glover Quin being active after being listed as questionable on the injury report.

The return of injured players shifts some healthy bodies onto the gameday inactive list. Running back Mikel Leshoure and wide receiver/kick returning Micheal Spurlock are healthy scratches in favor of players with bigger offensive roles.
