Detroit Lions Injury Report: Glover Quin in Boot, Expects to Play

The Detroit Lions released their first injury report of week 12 and four players are starting the week by missing practice. Joique Bell (achilles), Jonte Green (illness) and Calvin Johnson (knee) were all sidelined today, as was Glover Quin (ankle) who was seen wearing a boot.

Quin has been a stabilizing presence in the Lions’ secondary this season and was sorely missed late in last week’s loss in Pittsburgh. Don Carey played well as a safety late last season but has been forced into action as a corner with Bill Bentley out with injury and Darius Slay not playing well as a rookie. Hearing that Quin expects to play is good news considering how poorly the defense played without him last week.

There is some good news with Ziggy Ansah (ankle) and Bill Bentley (knee) returning to practice after missing the last couple games. Both players were limited at today’s session, as were Nate Burleson (forearm), Louis Delmas (knee), Andre Fluellen (thigh), Israel Idonije (knee) and Brandon Pettigrew (knee). Corey Hilliard (knee) was also listed but he was noted to have practiced fully.
