Detroit Lions Among the Heaviest Favorites in Week 12

The Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren’t exactly two teams heading in opposite directions. That being said, Sunday’s matchup between the two at Ford Field doesn’t have the same lopsided feel it did a couple weeks ago.

The Lions return home from Pittsburgh after losing to the Steelers while the previously 0-8 Bucs have won two straight. As it turns out, recent developments have had little to no impact on how the sports books view this upcoming game.

The largest point spread of the week is currently ten points (Texans over Jagaurs). Next up is the Saints over the Falcons by nine, matched by the nine points the sports books are spotting the Lions over the Bucs. With any betting line over a touchdown considered quite a bit, Vegas clearly hasn’t lost any faith in the Lions’ ability to take care of business on Sunday.

Here is a look at the early betting action:

Against the spread
Buccaneers +9 (-110)
Lions -9 (-110)

Buccaneers (+336)
Lions (-414)

Point total
Over 48.5 (-110)
Under 48.5 (-110)
