The most important thing the Detroit Lions got in Chicago was a win but they also got a new career receiving touchdown leader.
Calvin Johnson‘s touchdown catch to cap the Lions’ opening drive of the second half was the 62nd of his career and tied him for the most in franchise history with Herman Moore.
In the fourth quarter, Calvin caught another touchdown pass to win the game and stand alone as the most prolific touchdown catcher in Detroit Lions history. At 63, Megatron stands alone and there is no telling how high the total will get before he calls it a career.
Herman Moore tweeted his congratulations following the game:
BIG shout out to @Bigplaycj for breaking the franchise TD receiving record which now sits at 63 and climbing! Keep it up! @DetroitLionsNFL
Zac Snyder got hooked on the Lions after his dad took him to a Monday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Raiders in 1990. The show put on by Barry Sanders and Bo Jackson that night was only surpassed by what Zac could do with Barry in a game of Tecmo Super Bowl.
