While Ryan Broyles continues the trend of the Lions’ inability to draft quality wide receivers who don’t prove themselves to be superhuman at the combine, the return of Nate Burleson is also looming.
While the Bears and Packers are wondering if their starting quarterbacks are going to be available consistently for the season, the Lions are thinking about getting secondary receivers back. Of course, it’s not wise to tempt fate by talking too much about the relative health of a football team mid-season.
Still, at least on the injury front, things are looking up for the Lions, but they have two gigantic division games coming up in their next four against Chicago and Green Bay. The outcome of those games will most likely determine the direction they’re going in the division race.
Next Game: 11/10 at Chicago (5-3)
