Vegas Likes Detroit Lions to Beat Cincinnati Bengals

Anyone who has been a Detroit Lions fan for any length of time knows that the time to start getting uncomfortable is when you start feeling good about the team.

The 4-2 start is nice, especially given the collapse of teams many thought to be playoff contenders like the Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants. But with the Detroit Tigers in the midst of the playoffs, some talk around town has been about the Lions making a run to the playoffs of their own.

It is early but the Lions have put themselves in position to warrant such talk, the problem comes when fans and sports talk radio hosts start to gloss over the next two home games against the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys. As a lifelong Lions fan, that makes me very uncomfortable.

We’re still a week away from worrying about the Cowboys; this week is all about taking care of business against the Bengals. Will they? Vegas thinks so. Here is a look at the betting action found on this morning:

Against the Spread
Bengals +2.5 (-104)
Lions -2.5 (-117)

Bengals (+119)
Lions (-139)

Point Total
Over 47 (-109)
Under 47 (-109)
