Chicago Bears’ OG Kyle Long Praises Ndamukong Suh

If there was a one-on-one matchup that could be considered the most anticipated in today’s game between the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears it was probably Ndamukong Suh on Bears rookie guard Kyle Long.

The Bears made Long a surprise first round pick last April but through three games, Long has excelled. Not only did the Lions get the win over the Bears, but Suh got the victory over Long with two sacks, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits. Not only that, Long was flagged for a hands to the face penalty while Suh went unpenalized all game long.

After the game, Long had nothing but good things to say about Suh. Tom Leyden was in the locker room and tweeted out the quotes:

Suh may have gotten the best of Long today but this has the look of an intriguing battle to watch over the next several years.
