The Detroit Lions were without Reggie Bush today as a result of the knee injury he sustained last week. The team leaves Washington with a win despite not having Bush’s services but playing without Bush for an extended period is not a formula for success.
The good news is that Bush shouldn’t miss much more time. Perhaps not even any more practice time. Bush practiced on a limited basis Friday but was still inactive for today’s game. However, Bush guaranteed after today’s win that he will play against the Chicago Bears next week.
Reggie Bush guaranteed to me he'll play next week against Chicago. Held out as precaution. "I guarantee I'll play next week."

The first injury report for week four will be released on Wednesday afternoon. At that point we will have a better feel for how realistic Bush’s guarantee is. The fact he was able to practice on Friday is a good indication that he could be ready for next week’s important divisional game.
