Will the Detroit Lions be without Reggie Bush this week? That is the big question on everyone’s mind and the answer remains in limbo.
Bush talked about the knee and how he is feeling on 97.1 The Ticket this morning (via Freep):
“I feel a lot better than I thought I was going to be feeling at this point in time. My knee feels pretty good. It’s a day-to-day thing right now. Thankfully, I avoided anything serious that might have required surgery or being out for a long period of time.”
That sounds positive but Bush missed another day of practice today and hasn’t been cleared by team doctors. Not so positive.
Mikel Leshoure figures to be active for the first time this season if Bush can’t play. Not exactly an even trade. Whatever the case, we can probably expect a heavy dose of Joique Bell, whether it is as the number one back on Sunday or to limit Bush’s load if the knee allow for participation.
The Lions don’t have to speculate on Bush’s ability to play on Sunday until tomorrow afternoon when the final injury report is released. At that point we will know whether they consider him out, doubtful, questionable or probable.
