Detroit Lions: Ryan Broyles Says He's Ready When Team Calls

The Detroit Lions have taken it easy with Ryan Broyles as he works his way back from a torn ACL. The recovery has gone well without any apparent setbacks but the Lions have chosen to keep Broyles inactive through the first two games.

When will we see Broyles on the field? That question can’t be answered immediately but in speaking with the media today, Broyles indicated that he feels he is ready to go.

Broyles isn’t alone in feeling he’s ready to go, that opinion was echoed by Nate Burleson:

The Lions haven’t listed Ryan Broyles on injury reports so it is clear holding him out of action has been precautionary rather than a reaction to the injury or an indication of a setback. With Patrick Edwards leaving Sunday’s game against the Cardinals with an injury, Broyles could be called upon as soon as this week.
