The Detroit Lions’ preparations for their week two game against the Arizona Cardinals are in full swing. That means they have to let go of their super top secret injury information, at least as much as required by the league-mandated injury report.
The first injury report of the week was released this afternoon and while it isn’t as clean as the reports last week, it isn’t too bad.
Louis Delmas (knee), Jason Jones (knee) and John Wendling (ankle) were able to practice but did not take part in their normal reps. We can expect Delmas to be a fixture on injury reports throughout the season as the Lions attempt to manage his condition by regularly limiting his practice time.
Reggie Bush had a big workload on Sunday and didn’t come out of it totally unscathed. He had to have a thumb popped back in place and suffered a slight groin injury. Those ailments got him listed on this week’s injury report but he was noted as a full participant at Wednesday’s practice.
It is too early to know how these injuries will impact each player’s ability to face the Cardinals on Sunday. We’ll know more later in the week.
