The Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills will face each other in the preseason finale tomorrow night. In preparation of the game, I got together with Dennis Amo of BuffaLowDown to get his thoughts on Bills training camp and the game with the Lions.

1. How did this training camp under first-year head coach Doug Marrone differ from camps in the past?

There is always excitement going into training camp and the start of a new year, but this year it was different in a number of ways. A new coaching staff brought on a new coaching style and a philosophy that go not only the team but the fans behind them as well. It is an excitement that keeps you energized every time you think about the possibilities and what the team is capable of.

2. It seems like the Bills have a huge mess on their hands with E.J. Manuel out due to injury. How much blame to the Bills deserve for how they’ve handled the quarterback position this past offseason?

There definitely is some blame to be put on the coaching staff at this point. Their ill-prepared off-season for injuries is a definite black eye at this point. Kolb has had history of concussions the past two seasons and right now the starting QB is the undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel. Bringing in another veteran like a Leinart earlier on in the season could have and would have alleviated a lot of the pressure that they have right now. Leinart and Lewis have not been with the team for more than a half a week so for them to even step into a preseason game is basically feeding them to the wolves.
