Preseason Notes: LaAdrian Waddle Proving He Should Be In The Mix At Right Tackle

LaAdrian Waddle was one of the unsung heroes in last night’s victory against the New England Patriots.

Waddle saw his first action earlier in the game than expected. He ended up entering the game early in the second quarter, playing on the Lions first touchdown drive on the night.

One thing to take out of that is that he ended up coming in before Corey Hillard. That should say a lot about the impact that Waddle has made, along with the status of the right tackle competition, thus far.

Waddle also did a great job with allowing Kellen Moore the time to throw for two touchdowns in the second half of the game.

If you couldn’t add, Waddle was in on all three passing touchdown drives for the Lions.

Waddle may not be the starting right tackle once the season opens up, but rest assure if one of the starting tackles slip up, he’ll certainly be the first guy off the bench.
