The Detroit Lions held a workout for free agent defensive tackle Justin Bannan earlier in training camp but Bannan chose not to sign.
Apparently he thought he could find a better deal than what the Lions were offering as he chose to leave without a deal. a better offer never materialized and according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Bannan will join the Lions after all:

The addition of Bannan likely completes the Lions four-man defensive tackle with Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley and C.J. Mosley. The likes of Jimmy Saddler-McQueen, Ogemdi Nwagbuo and Andre Fluellen will have their chance to have a say about that but Bannan is a solid veteran noted for his strength against the run.
