Detroit Lions 2013 Training Camp Schedule


The return of Detroit Lions football is nearly upon us with rookies reporting for training camp today. Veterans will report later in the week with the first full team workout set for Friday.

Here is the full schedule of events and important milestones from now until the start of the regular season:

July 22 – Lions rookies report for training camp
July 25 – Lions veterans report for training camp
July 26 – 3 p.m. practice open to season ticket holders (reservation required)
July 27 – 9:15 a.m. practice open to season ticket holders (reservation required)
July 28 – 9:15 a.m. practice open to season ticket holders (reservation required)
July 29 – 9:15 a.m. practice open to public
July 30 – 9:15 a.m. practice open to public
August 1 – 9:15 a.m. practice open to public
August 2 – 9:15 a.m. practice open to public
August 3 – 3:00 p.m. practice open to public
August 4 – 9:15 a.m. practice open to public
August 6 – 9:15 a.m. practice open to public
August 7 – 9:15 a.m. practice open to public
August 9 – Home preseason game vs. New York Jets, 7:30 p.m.
August 15 – Road preseason game at Cleveland Browns, 7:30 p.m.
August 22 – Home preseason game vs. New England Patriots, 7:30 p.m.
August 27 – Roster reduced to 75 players
August 29 – Road preseason game at Buffalo Bills, 7:00 p.m.
August 31 – Roster reduced to 53 players
September 4 – Deadline to fit within the 2013 salary cap
September 8 – First regular season game, home vs. Minnesota Vikings.
