Lions cornerback Chris Houston sees himself as being among the NFL’s elite — and he only wants to get better.
“Even though my stats don’t show it,” Houston said Wednesday, “I feel I’m one of the best in the league and I’m looking to take my game to another level this year.”
Cornerbacks don’t have many obvious statistics other than interceptions, and Houston turned in only two picks last year after a career-best five in 2011. But he did put together a good year that was obscured by a bad team.
