Contact in this early free agency period is limited to teams and agents but that doesn’t mean players can’t get involved informally.
According to Mike Freeman of CBS Sports, that is exactly what is happening with the Detroit Lions and Reggie Bush.
Lions player tells me some Detroit players recruiting Reggie Bush. We’ll see if it works.

That isn’t surprising since much has been made of Matthew Stafford recently starting to follow Reggie Bush on Twitter and Nate Burleson looking directly into the camera during an appearance on NFL Network to state his desire for Bush to join the Lions.
As we told you earlier, the Lions face stiff competition for Bush’s services so anything that might give them an advantage over other potential suitors is a plus. Ultimately the dollar signs might be the best way to tell Bush how much he is wanted but a personal touch can’t hurt.
