Titus Young's Second Chance Over Already?

It took longer than some fans had hoped but the Lions reached a point where they could do nothing but move on from Titus Young. He was released and claimed by the St. Louis Rams although it appears his time there will be over after less than two weeks.

Sources have told Rob Parker (yes, that Rob Parker) that the Rams intend to cut Titus Young and that he may never play football again.

Apparently the initial interview and physical did not go so well and it is likely the Rams didn’t find Titus Young to be worth the risk. While the timing seems odd with Young seemingly just entering the picture in St. Louis, it is relevant to point out that in the time between the Rams claiming Young and today, former Detroit Lions seconday coach Tim Walton became the Rams new defensive coordinator. You can bet he was asked his opinion, perhaps even before getting settled into his new digs.

As for Young possibly not playing again, it sounds an awful lot like a guy who isn’t be told what he wants to hear and deciding to pick up his ball and go home. It’s a sad turn of events for a guy that has a lot of talent but can’t seem to get things straight between his ears.
