Detroit Lions Fans, SideLion Report Giving Away a DROID RAZR HD

SideLion Report and Verizon Wireless are teaming up to offer a great giveaway for this site’s great readers. If you follow me on twitter or read this site regularly you probably are aware that I am taking part in Verizon’s Midwest Sports Bloggers Program this season, giving me the opportunity to try out some of the hottest new devices in Verizon’s lineup.

Now there is a chance for you to get in on the action. One reader will be the recipient of a new DROID RAZR HD and a $50 Verizon giftcard to use towards your cell phone bill or accessories for your new phone.

The DROID RAZR HD has been on the market less than two months and is packed with features. Here is a quick summary of some of the highlights:

  • An 8-megapixel camera and HD display that makes movies, photos, magazines and websites appear with vibrant clarity.
  • Circles Widget makes it easy to view battery life, text notifications, missed calls or weather updates, right on the home screen.
  • Near-field communications-enabled, so customers can use Android Beam to share contacts, documents and maps directly to compatible phones.
  • A battery that allows for up to 32 hours of normal use and double the internal storage (of older RAZR phones) to 32 GB.
  • Runs over 4G LTE, combined with Chrome for Android, meaning customers can enjoy blazing fast speeds that make downloading documents or surfing the Web a breeze.
  • Device is Global Ready, so calling home or sending emails is possible from more than 205 countries around the world.

Now you’re probably wondering what you need to do to be entered into the drawing. Don’t worry, it’s easy. Just leave a comment down below telling me which awesome feature of the new Droid RAZR HD will most help enhance your sports experience or who the Lions should draft next April.

Entries will be accepted through December 14. The winner will be notified shortly thereafter and asked to fill out an address form to have the device sent directly from the Verizon promotions team.

Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Midwest Fans program and have been provided with a wireless device and five months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.

Dick's Sporting Goods presents "Hell Week":

  • Matt Snyder

Should draft Tyrann Mathieu. Could use some more attitude from defensive players.

  • Paul Adams

    Draft Manti Te’o

  • Vince

I like drafting Tyrann Mathieu, not in the first but the honey badger is a playmaker. We didn’t go after Janoris Jenkins which looks like a mistake in hindsight.

    • Zac Snyder

He’ll be an interesting prospect to watch through the draft process. What round do you think teams should feel comfortable taking him?

  • PointSpecial

I’ve got the regular RAZR… I bought it the week that the HD came out and I’ve really been impressed.
The extended battery life is the feature that I think would be most helpful. I’m still trying to get used to this new phone, which is worlds better than my old phone, and I keep it plugged in religiously so it hasn’t run down… but to not have to think about it would be amazing!

  • Jonathan Snyder

Grab top person available and trade for a servicable RB.

  • Jeanne Snyder

clearly the Droid Razr HD feature and battery life would enhance the enjoyment of following sports wherever I am. And global ready…what could be better!

  • Douglas Parton

The 4G would be heavily utilized at sporting events
Lions need to grab Honey Badger late. I’m sick of Logan.

  • Troy Louis

I could have used the 4G to stream the Lions-Jags game while I was driving through the UP and northern Wisconsin. There were only trees and Packers bars, as far as the eye could see. It would’ve been nice to actually witness the only blowout the Lions posted this year.
+1 for getting rid of Logan. He might be small, but he is all dead weight on this roster.

    • Troy Louis

Also, I am a proponent of picking up Manti T’eo in the draft.

  • Peter C.

I would be able to use the HD camera to capture quick shots of the action and tweet them to my thousands of followers! Not to mention the battery life which would let me do it through the entire game!

  • Josh Standfest

Lions need some help in the defensive backfield and I’d use the Razr HD. Battery life and screen size would make it easier to stat track through a whole game without fear of running battery down.

  • Adam Avery

I’d LOVE that battery! I am constantly having to plug in my Thunderbolt. I’m ready for an upgrade!

  • Scott Bosley

I could use the battery big time. My phone dies so quickly its absurd. and I would love to see a shut down corner drafted in first round

  • Chang L.

The high resolution camera would come in handy for games, hopefully it also zooms well.

  • Tom Snyder

I would replace my blackberry and have a real SMART phone, with real and faster internet capabilities and larger screen to stay in touch with NFL, financial, weather and other breaking news, as well as cool apps that blackberry surely lacks.

  • mike chappel

it would give me the ability to use the internet since i have a motorola razor that is like ten yrs old.

  • gregnielsen

The long battery life would help me keep up with the entire draft as the Lions select DE Ansah and Safety Reid with their first two picks.

  • Shane Bengry

32 hours of battery life! Now that is a sports fan dream phone.

  • [email protected]

The 4G and battery life would awesome! Not to mention the fact that my current droid has a cracked screen.

  • Jennifer Snyder

I would like to use the camera on this phone, it looks really good.

  • Christopher Freeman

Detroit trades down if they have a top six pick and selects Chase Warmack in the first and David Amerson(move him to safety with Delmas)and hopefully Poyer from Oregon St falls to secound round.

    • Christopher Freeman

This is of course could only happen if they acquire and additional second round pick in the trade.

  • James Evanoski

The display would make watching the Lions game on the go, that much better to watch even if they continue to struggle finishing out their games.

  • Jaeson Szczomak

Having a phone that can access the internet and has a readable screen would be amazing for keeping up with the Lions. Not to mention having a camera phone that works will make for less blurry photos at Lion’s games in the future.
As for the draft…I’m going to hold out my choices until we wrap up this season and see where we end up. I’m confident we can knock the Bears off in a couple weeks.

  • Kevin D.

The extra-long battery life would be great, since I don’t have a chance to charge my phone terribly often. As for the Lions, a little help at CB or Safety would be really good.
