Win Over Lions Could Put Packers One Step From NFC North Crown

The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers entered week 14 tied for the NFC North lead at 8-4. With the early slate of games over, the situation is starting to look very good for the Packers.

With the Bears falling to the Minnesota Vikings this afternoon, the Packers have a chance to take over sole-possession of first place in the NFC North with a win over the Lions tonight.

A quick look ahead at the week 15 schedule shows a crucial matchup between the Packers and Bears. A win by Packers there gives them a season sweep over the Bears and likely wraps up the division title, depending on what happens with the Minnesota Vikings.

It’s not likely that the Packers would have entered Sunday night’s game with the Lions lightly, but it is likely that they are fully aware that they have an opportunity to at least put a stranglehold on the division over the next two weeks.
