After 13 weeks of play it looks like the Bears and Packers have separated themselves in the race for the top team in the NFC North with each team sitting at 8-4, while the Vikings are clawing to keep their playoff hopes alive, and the Lions are playing just for pride at this point with a record of 4-8. Can the Lions upset the Packers at Lambeau Field for the first time in over 20 years? Can the Vikings keep their playoff hopes alive with a win at home against the Bears?
Here are my NFC North Week 14 predictions
Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings
two weeks ago when these teams met the Bears had their way with the Vikings winning 28-10. I don’t predict another blowout win by the Bears, but I also don’t think the Vikings have the firepower on offense to take the Bears down. The Vikings’ offense relies to much on Adrian Peterson exploding for massive chunks of yards. If he doesn’t, the offense doesn’t score, and even when he does explode for yards as he did last week, 210 yards against Green Bay, they still don’t have enough fire power to win games. The only way the Vikings pull of the upset is if Adrian Peterson is dominant and the Bears offense plays lethargic.
Prediction Bears win 23-20
Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers
I don’t care what these teams records are, wins are hard to come by at this point in the season-especially against division rivals. However, I’m done picking the Lions to win. The only thing the Lions have proven the last four weeks is that they find ways to lose games. I’m sure the Lions will make it a close game, and maybe take late lead, just to ultimately lose. Because Lions games have been close all season and because Matthew Stafford is chasing another 5,000 yard season and Calvin Johnson is on pace to breaking one of the greatest records in football this is Shack’s Game Of The Week.
Prediction: Packers win 33-30
Recap: I have the Bears and Packers pulling out close wins and the Lions and Vikings continuing their losing streaks. Don’t forget to leave a comment and share your NFC North Predictions! I’ll do my best to respond to any questions or comments you might have.
