The Detroit Lions returned to the practice field today to start their on-field preparations for the Green Bay Packers. That is, most of them at least.
Gosder Cherilus wasn’t able to practice due to soreness in both knees. Could Riley Reiff get a start at right tackle? Something to watch as the week unfolds.
Louis Delmas (knee), Chris Houston (ankle), Lawrence Jackson (concussion), Jacob Lacey (famstring/Achilles) and Corey Williams (knee) also were unable to practice.
Jeff Backus (hamstring) and Nick Fairley (quad) were able to practice but did not participate in their normal number of reps.
Kassim Osgood (finger) and Ashlee Palmer (thumb) were the only other players noted on the injury report although their practice routines were not affected.
