Detroit Lions Officially End Titus Young's Season

Titus Young‘s season is officially over. That being said, whether or not his days with the Detroit Lions are also over isn’t apparent.

In fact, at this point one would have to say that they aren’t.

According to a tweet from Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com, the Lions placed Young on injured reserve.

Young has dealt with a knee injury for most of the season and that will be the official explanation that allows for the use of IR but it’s a puzzling development.

It frees up the roster spot but does nothing but allow questions regarding Young’s future with the team to linger. It would seem this move gives the team the benefit of time to see what develops between now and next season instead of cutting Young today, but it is hard to see any circumstance in which Young returns to the locker room filled with players that seemed so obviously done with his attitude and antics.
