Detroit Lions Nearly Touchdown Underdogs to Green Bay Packers

The Detroit Lions make their return trip to Lambeau Field to finish their season series with the Green Bay Packers in front of a national television audience on Sunday Night Football.

If the game goes like the sports book thinks it will, it will be another high-profile loss for the Detroit Lions that would extend their losing streak in the state of Wisconsin to 21 straight years. The early betting line has installed the Packers as 6.5 point favorites.

Wondering if this year’s game at Lambeau turns into a shootout like last year’s 45-41 affair? It’s not likely and the sports books reflect that with an over/under set at 51.5 points. That is identical to the point total available to bettors in the first meeting between the Lions and Packers.

Taking the 6.5 points and rolling with the Lions would be my first inclination but this is a pick that warrants a little more pondering before my full slate of picks gets published prior to Thursday Night Football.
