2013 NFL Mock Draft: The Detroit Lions Select... has fired up their mock drafts for the 2013 draft cycle and it is just in time considering the downward spiral of this Detroit Lions season.

Obviously there is a lot of ground to cover between now and the draft with everything from the draft order to prospect rankings still up in the air. But we are late enough in the NFL and college football seasons where a look ahead can be fun.

So what direction does Josh Sanchez have the Lions going in this week’s FanSided mock draft?

It’s Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner with the 12th overall pick. The following commentary is included with the pick:

It is no secret that the Lions have struggled in the secondary for the past few seasons and they can begin making a move in the right direction by taking the clear number one cornerback on draft boards. Milliner is a big, phyiscal corner – likely remembered in the state of Michigan for this play:

It’s a play that isn’t legal in the NFL but goes to show the kind of physicality Milliner brings to the cornerback position.
