The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers were scheduled to meet on Sunday Night Football in week 14 and that is exactly what will happen:
Lions/Packer game on Dec. 9 is remaining in the Sunday night slot on NBC. It did not get flexed out like some thought it might.

The Lions’ disappointing season might have led some to believe that this game would get flexed out of primetime in favor of another matchup. The problem with that scenario is that there has to be something better to flex in and that just isn’t the case.
The Giants hosting the Saints has some intrigue but nothing extraordinarily different than Lions-Packers.
Plus, the Giants hosted a Sunday Night game in week 12 and if that game was really to be considered for primetime it likely would have been scheduled as such when the schedule was initially released.
The Colts have been a surprisingly successful team and might have played their way into picking up an extra primetime game but week 14 doesn’t make sense as they host the Titans.
