The Lions may be done for week 12 but, believe it or not, there will still be football on the airwaves in the Detroit market and throughout the state of Michigan.
We will get a double-dose during the early slate of games with Pittsburgh at Cleveland on CBS (Kevin Harlan, Solomon Wilcots) and Minnesota at Chicago on FOX (Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, Tony Siragusa).
The lone late game on in Michigan will be San Francisco at New Orleans (Joe Buck, Troy Aikman).
The Green Bay Packers are in New York to take on the Giants on Sunday Night Football on NBC.
If you’re outside of Michigan, check out the506.com for nation-wide coverage maps.
Which afternoon games will I be watching? None, at least not in their entirety. I will be monitoring today’s NFL action through the Red Zone channel on the NFL Mobile app available to Verizon customers. I have had the opportunity to test it out this season and it really works great on the Verizon 4G network and my Droid RAZR M is the perfect combination of “slip in your pocket small” and “screen big enough to make watching a game worth it.”
Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Midwest Fans program and have been provided with a wireless device and five months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.
