To say that Titus Young has had a rough season would be putting it lightly.
Perhaps the most frustrating thing about it is that most of his troubles have been self-inflicted.
From the offseason sucker punch of Louis Delmas to the lackadaisical play early in the season, it was quite apparent that Titus Young hasn’t grown up in year two like we all hoped.
In case you thought the Titus Young facepalms were over, think again. Young was benched late in yesterday’s loss to the Packers and he followed up that performance by being sent home from the Lions’ practice facility today.
It is doubtful that Young will return to practice this week and he has already been ruled out of the Thanksgiving Day game against the Houston Texans as a disciplinary measure.
Jim Schwartz usually keeps things close to the vest but he was quite forthcoming regarding Young’s status with the team.
Schwartz says it’s a behavioral issue and how the team moves forward will depend on how Young responds.

Schwartz says Titus was in the wrong spot on the 2nd down play in the red zone when Cherilus false started.

Schwartz: “He needs to be a team player and he needs to put the team before himself.”

At this point one has to wonder, will Titus ever learn?
