At this point in the season the Bears have a firm grasp over the division and the Lions, Packers, and Vikings find themselves in the mix for second place with just one loss separating the teams. The Lions will face the Vikings this week at the Metrodome, the Packers are on their bye week, and the Bears look to continue their winning ways against the Texans on Sunday Night Football.
Here are my week 10 predictions:
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings
Since their last meeting, these two teams have been heading in opposite directions. The Lions have won three of their last four, while the Vikings have lost three of their last four. I’ve said all season that the Vikings are not as good as their record said they were at 3-1, and the Vikings are starting to sleep. Add the fact that their most dynamic player in Percy Harvin might not play and this looks like a very winnable game for the Lions.
Prediction: Lions win 27-17
Both teams come into week 10 with identical records at 8-1 and both teams are considered super bowl contenders. This game will be a great indicator as to whether the Bears are a good team or a great team. I believe the Bears are a very good team, I’m just not sold on the Bears being a super bowl contender team. The Bears have been forcing turnover at an unbelievable rate, a rate that I don’t think they gain maintain. The key to this game will be the Texans ability to take care of the football. If the Texans can avoid fumbles and interceptions, especially in the red zone, they will come out with a win in Chicago.
Prediction: Texans win 21-17
Green Bay Packers: Bye Week
Recap: I have the Lions as the lone team in the NFC North receiving a win with the Bears and Vikings suffering losses. Don’t forget to leave a comment and share your NFC North Predictions! I’ll do my best to respond to any questions or comments you might have.
