Madden 13 Week Five Roster Update: Lions Ratings on the Decline

The Detroit Lions’ poor start to the 2012 season was bound to have an impact on their Madden 13 ratings sooner or later. I’m not sure if this is “sooner” or “later” but that time has arrived.

This week’s Madden 13 roster update changes the player ratings of nine Detroit Lions, seven of which are decreases. Of particularly bad news is who is on the decline. Young players like Titus Young and Nick Fairley are seeing their ratings go in the opposite direction we would all hope. It is also disappointing to see a ratings drop for Jeff Backus, Brandon Pettigrew and Stephen Tulloch.

Let me be clear, it isn’t disappointing that their ratings went down, it is disappointing that they have given reason for their ratings to go down. Let’s hope the Lions return from their bye week and give the EA Sports folks plenty of reasons to send their ratings back up.
