The Detroit Lions hit the practice field for their final workout of the week and if practice participation is any indication, they will likely be without two important members of their secondary against the San Francisco 49ers.
Rookie cornerback Bill Bentley remains out after suffering a concussion in last week’s game against the St. Louis Rams. Louis Delmas wasn’t able to practice all week and will likely be listed as doubtful to play like he was prior to week one. Lions fans shouldn’t expect to see either play in week two.
Corey Williams (knee) and Travis Lewis (quad) round out the list of players unable to practice today.
The Lions did get good news in the form of Lawrence Jackson’s return to practice. He had been out due to a calf injury.
Official status designations for Sunday night’s game will be released with the official injury report later this afternoon.
