The Lions were without Louis Delmas and Chris Houston in week one after the two were the only Lions players named on the injury report all week. Just one week later and that list has increased to include seven players.
The good news is that Chris Houston was able to return to practice, albeit in a limited role. He was participating during the individual drills session open to the media but how limited he was after that is unknown. Fellow cornerback Bill Bentley is one of five newcomers to the injury report after suffering a concussion against the Rams. Bentley did not practice today.
Louis Delmas also remains out as he works his way back from knee surgery. Lawrence Jackson (calf), Calvin Johnson (foot) and Travis Lewis (quad) round out the list of players that did not participate in today’s practice. Corey Williams (knee) is the only other player listed. He was limited during today’s practice.
Updates to the injury report later in the week will give a much better indication whether or not these ailments will have a major impact on Sunday night’s game against the 49ers.
