The Detroit Lions have signed fourth-year free agent safety Reshard Langford and released linebacker Korey Bosworth, Tim Twentyman reported Saturday.
Langford joins a team in dire need for safety depth after the abrupt loss of safety Louis Delmas last week due to knee surgery.
An undrafted free agent from Vanderbilt, Langford has spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. He has recorded 16 tackles so far in his young career.
Bosworth joined the Lions for a second offseason this year after previously spending time with the team at last season’s training camp. However, this year Bosworth was converted from a defensive lineman to a linebacker.
