With it finally settled that Cliff Avril will not get a long term deal this offseason and will be “stuck” with the one-year deal coming his way as a result of the franchise tender, a forward looking eye has been turned to what the Lions will face next offseason.
One name that has been prominently brought up as a candidate for the franchise tag next offseason is Louis Delmas. I will not dispute that Delmas has the potential to be worthy of such but I’d like to see more before I’m willing to accept that as a prudent move.
