Detroit's luck with players who get injured early in a season and are lost for the season is not good(see CRog). Now the Lions have LeShoure and Fairley. The main problem here the ability to learn from one's mistakes. The jury is still out on LeShoure but the verdict is in on Fairley and it's not good. And since the Lions see a repeating pattern here, a "Nate Newton Syndrome" so to speak. It is time for Fairley to move on, hit the road, adios MF, don't let the door hit you in the a$$. Fairley was busted not once but twice for marijuana. Now you would think that after those two incidents you'd like to keep a low profile, but as the say in political jargon Fairley "doubled down", at 100mph. The Lions need to trade him, cut him or whatever just get rid of him. Now having said all that I'm sure none of my suggestions will be taken seriously or even occur, he will remain a Lion until he incurs several more suspensions. Then someone in the Lion's organization will say "hey why are we paying this guy all this money and he never plays a down?" You see the quickest way to make any professional organization to act is to hit them where they live, in the pocketbook. You know what they say "Money talks, BS walks".
