The Detroit Lions got back on the field yesterday (at least, most of them) for the start of this offseason’s organized team activities.
With a solid core group of players and coaches returning, the Lions are able to pick up where they left off last year rather than starting with large-scale introductions and learning new offensive and defensive philosophies. The best teams around the league thrive because of consistency and the Lions are finally at the point where they can benefit from consistency of their own.
Jahvid Best and Mikel Leshoure were back on the field after missing significant time last season due to injury and rookie wide receiver Ryan Broyles was able to participate in some of the drills even though he is still recovering from a torn ACL. Nick Fairley was reportedly in great shape and moods throughout the team were apparently very good.
