Junior Seau’s Memory Lives on Across the NFL

I attended my first NFL game in 1990, the year Junior Seau was a rookie linebacker for the San Diego Chargers. He was a mainstay in the league for 20 years and is still one of the first names to pop in my head when I think about the linebacker position in the NFL during those years of my youth when I was learning the game. I know the same is true for at least one entire generation of football fans.

Bolt Beat, SideLion Report’s brother site on the FanSided Network that covers the San Diego Chargers, will be observing a moment of silence for Junior Seau on May 5 at 5:55 PT – a fitting time for the man that wore the number 55 for so many years. The idea has gone viral with the likes of SI’s Peter King and Reggie Bush retweeting the message and wanted to bring it up here because of Seau’s popularity league-wide.
