The Detroit Lions’ 2012 draft class isn’t the strongest in terms of driving jersey sales but thanks to Tim Twentyman, we now know what number will each incoming rookie will wear.

Brandon Pettigrew wore number 84 just a couple years ago before switching to 87 but I’ll always think of Herman Moore when I see the 84 on a Lions jersey. None of the other numbers announced conjure up any grand Lions memories for me. Perhaps one of the members of this draft class can become an iconic figure forever linked with his jersey number in the memory of Lions fans.
