The Detroit Lions have made their eighth selection of the 2012 NFL Draft:

Who: Travis Lewis
What: Outside Linebacker
Where: Oklahoma
When: Round 7, Pick 16 (223 Overall)
Why: The Detroit Lions make an incredible value pick with Travis Lewis in the seventh round. He’s regarded mostly as an outside linebacker but has enough versatility in his game to suggest that he could also play some in the middle. The Lions love versatile players, particularly on defense, so the pick makes a lot of sense.
