Detroit Lions Select Ronnell Lewis in Fourth Round of 2012 NFL Draft

The Detroit Lions have made their fourth selection of the 2012 NFL Draft. It came a little later than expected thanks to a trade with the San Francisco 49ers. The Lions moved down eight spots but picked up a sixth round pick for doing so.

Who: Ronnell Lewis
What: Outside Linebacker/Defensive End
Where: Oklahoma
When: Round 4, Pick 30 (125 Overall)
Why: The Lions place a high value on pass rushers and Lewis is too good of a value at the end of the fourth round to pass up. He’s a bit of a tweener and has some developing to do in his game but figures to be a very useful player for the Lions in their pass rushing rotation.
