SLR Detroit Lions Player Of The Year Tournament Second Round: Rob Sims vs. Dominic Raiola

The second round of the 2011 SideLion Report Detroit Lions player of the year tournament is underway! Take a look at the bracket.

We’re staying on the offensive side of the bracket today. Who will move on to the Sweet 16?

(3 seed) Rob Sims vs. (6 seed) Dominic Raiola

Rob Sims gained a reputation as one of the most dependable offensive linemen on the Detroit Lions roster in 2011. He started all 16 regular season games plus the playoff game at left guard.

Dominic Raiola might take a lot of heat for being undersized as one of the smaller centers in the league but there isn’t anything undersized about his heart. He’s been a consistent leader in the locker room and was voted offensive line MVP for the 2011 season for his role as the unit’s “quarterback”.

Who should advance to the third round of the 2011 SideLion Report Player of the Year Tournament?

  • Rob Sims (54%, 20 Votes)
  • Dominic Raiola (46%, 17 Votes)

Total Voters: 37
