We’re staying on the offensive side of the bracket today. Who will move on to the Sweet 16?

(4 seed) Nate Burleson vs. (5 seed) Tony Scheffler

Nate Burleson caught just three touchdown passes but he was a dependable target in the passing game. His 73 catches and 757 yards were easily enough for third best on the team in 2011 and his veteran leadership is widely recognized as an important influence on the development of the younger receivers. Burleson was also effective running end-arounds, carrying the ball eleven times for 85 yards.

Tony Scheffler didn’t catch many passes (26) but he had a knack for finding the end zone with a career high six on the season. It’s a good thing he scored as many touchdowns as he did because he was entertainingwhen he got there.

Who should advance to the third round of the 2011 SideLion Report Player of the Year Tournament?

  • Nate Burleson (53%, 24 Votes)
  • Tony Scheffler (47%, 21 Votes)
