SLR Detroit Lions Player Of The Year Tournament Second Round: Louis Delmas vs. Corey Williams

The second round of the 2011 SideLion Report Detroit Lions player of the year tournament is underway! Take a look at the bracket.

We’re moving back to the defensive side of the bracket today. Who will move on to the Sweet 16?

(3 seed) Louis Delmas vs. (6 seed) Corey Williams

A Thanksgiving Day injury kept Louis Delmas from playing in the final five regular season games but he still finished as the team’s seventh leading tackler overall. Delmas did recover one fumble but did not record a sack, interception or forced fumble this season. Still, his play-making potential is important in the Lions’ secondary.

Corey Williams wasn’t quite the disruptive force he was for the Lions in 2010 but he remains an important man along the Lions defensive front. He appeared in 15 games for the Lions in 2011 and recorded 31 tackles and two sacks.

Who should advance to the third round of the 2011 SideLion Report Player of the Year Tournament?

  • Louis Delmas (65%, 15 Votes)
  • Corey Williams (35%, 8 Votes)

Total Voters: 23
