There’s a window of championship opportunity in Detroit unseen in more than 80 years when this was called the City of Champions with the Tigers, Lions and Wings. If after 2015, there isn’t at least one world championship among those three teams over the previous three years, it will remembered as one of the truly great disappointments in Detroit sports history.
