SideLion Report has great readers so it makes sense that you should have a say in helping us name the SideLion Report Detroit Lions player of the year. The players have been seeded and placed into a tournament bracket with each matchup determined by a reader vote.
To ensure that everyone has a chance to vote, polls will remain open until midnight on the west coast. At that time, a winner will be declared and the tournament will continue with another matchup the following day.
We’re staying on the offensive side of the bracket today. Who will move on to round two?
Tony Scheffler didn’t catch many passes (26) but he had a knack for finding the end zone with a career high six on the season. It’s a good thing he scored as many touchdowns as he did because he was entertaining when he got there.
The Lions hoped Keiland Williams could help fill the void left by Mikel Leshoure’s injury but he wound up carrying the ball just 58 times for 195 yards; a 3.4 yards per carry average. Williams scored two touchdowns over the course of the season but was an afterthought when Kevin Smith came back to town.
Who should advance to the second round of the 2011 SideLion Report Player of the Year Tournament?
- Tony Scheffler (100%, 29 Votes)
- Keiland Williams (0%, 0 Votes)
