Detroit Lions quarterback Drew Stanton will be among those taking the Polar Plunge at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa on Feb. 11 to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes.

On Twitter, a couple of the players have been sharing photos from the trip. The gem above comes from Marcus “Soup” Harris, who is on the Lions’ practice squad.

Detroit Lions football fans made the make-fun-of-Nickelback-at-no-cost attitude popular in November when the band was announced as the halftime entertainment for the team’s nationally televised Thanksgiving Day game. Football fans took to social media—and a petition signed by 50,000—to lay into the band as not good enough and not Detroit enough. Nickelback played the halftime show anyway and is now having a few words to say to haters.

Eminem is from Detroit and proclaims to be a Lions fan, but jumped on the Cowboys’ bandwagon like every other unfaithful fan in America.

“I am a Lions fan first and foremost,” Eminem said. “But growing up as a kid, the Lions were so bad for so long, that I picked up another team in the Cowboys.”
