On with today’s conference championship picks…

Baltimore Ravens (+7) at New England Patriots
The way the Patriots dismantled the Denver Broncos last week initially makes me unconcerned about a seven point spread. However, the Ravens still have a very good defense and the potential to control a game offensively with Ray Rice. Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron has drawn some criticism for the way he’s called a game so he’s a bit of a wild card here. That being said, it is within the Ravens’ control to keep this game close so I’ll take the points, even I believe the Patriots will win the game outright.

New York Giants (+2) at San Francisco 49ers
Last week’s offensive output by the 49ers showed just how far this team has come this season. They were finally able to score touchdowns instead of settling for field goals. The Giants might be the hotter team coming into the NFC Championship game but with the 49ers now showing more on offense, they’re probably the better team. Give the two points and take the Niners.
